All ETFO locals give a 90-100% mandate for strike action
Demonstrating the overwhelming support of members for the Federation’s bargaining position, all ETFO locals hold strike votes on October 12. Support ranges from 90% to 100% in every region. While this does not constitute an actual strike, it gives ETFO leadership the right to call for job action should the need arise.
Having consulted its members and fulfilled its democratic mandate, ETFO leadership again calls on the McGuinty government to respect democracy in Ontario.
