Thousands of teachers and support staff across the province rallied on Saturday in a show of support for public education, and as their contract talks remain in limbo.
Protests were held in Toronto, Ottawa, London, Sudbury and Thunder Bay to push for better funding, improvements to teacher retention and recruitment, smaller class sizes and plans to address violence in schools, among other issues they want to highlight at the bargaining table.
