OTTAWA TEACHERS WEAR BLACK TO PROTEST CLASS SIZE HIKES

Secondary and elementary school teachers united in the Ottawa area, wearing black to protest the Ford government’s decision to increase class sizes from grades 4-12.

In the video below, CTV News Ottawa reporter Megan Shaw outlines the action.

“Teachers’ workloads are already very enormous as it is [with] violence in the classrooms and health and safety concerns,” commented teacher Hillary Horsford in an interview with Shaw. “It’s going to be really really rough.”
