LOWEST PAID CUPE WORKERS TO GET 4.2 PER CENT ANNUAL HIKE UNDER TENTATIVE DEAL WITH ONTARIO

The lowest paid CUPE school support staff will receive an annual increase of about four per cent in the tentative deal reached with the government, says Education Minister Stephen Lecce.

The agreement is being put before the 55,000 custodians, early childhood educators and educational assistants in a ratification vote that starts Thursday and runs all weekend.
