100,000 STUDENTS WALK OUT TO PROTEST EDUCATION CUTS

Students in Napanee join the province-wide walkout to protest the Ford government’s education cuts.

An estimated 100,000 students from more than 600 high schools walked out to protest the Ford government’s cuts to education on April 4.

“We are showing them that students are informed, that students are angry, and that students are ready to make a difference,” said Amina Vance, a Grade 12 student who helped organize the walkout, in an interview on the CBC’s Metro Morning.
