THAMES VALLEY TRUSTEES BLAST QUEEN’S PARK, WRESTLE WITH $7.6M BUDGET DEFICIT

Thames Valley District school board trustees on Tuesday night approved a $7.6-million budget deficit – chopped down from its original shortfall, $30 million – as some trustees threatened to boycott a meeting that was later cancelled.

“There is a presumption that we will have quorum tomorrow evening but there are a number of us who are not available – myself included, I will not be able to attend,” said Middlesex trustee Arlene Morell at Tuesday night’s meeting that lasted until midnight.
