CALANDRA EXPECTS CLASS SIZES TO BE KEY ISSUE IN TEACHER CONTRACT TALKS

Ontario’s education minister is expecting class sizes to be a key issue in upcoming contract negotiations with education unions, as labour talks formally get underway this month.

“They’ve mentioned it to me, right from the beginning,” Paul Calandra said at an unrelated press conference Tuesday. “The unions — one of my first meetings with the union leadership — they said, ‘We want to talk class sizes.’”
